Dear Interspeech 2021 paper authors and presenters,
Please note that we have updated the instructions for presenters - please read them carefully.
Please note that we require a 3-minute summary video of ALL papers (really all - including papers in special sessions and demos in Show and Tell sessions) to be created and uploaded to the conference platform by August 15th.
If you wish to add more material related to your paper, you might also create and upload a longer video and a PDF with any information. See below the suggested use.
Remote presenters will present their papers in poster-like two-hour “Unified virtual sessions” - the format of the support is up to the presenters: you can use a poster, slides, pointing camera at a white-board, or anything else, and _you will show this material during the session by screen sharing_. Any time during the session, other participants will be able to visit your presentation in the conference platform and ask questions using audiovisual connection or text chat. Unified virtual presentations are not recorded. Remote presenters are required to be present in the session at the start of the session. Remote presenters shall test their connectivity sufficiently in advance of the start of the presentation at their personal page in the conference platform. Each paper must have at least one presenter available for the whole duration of the session. In case you want to have an additional opportunity to present your paper outside the allocated session (for example because your usual public is in a different time zone), you may consider organizing an additional virtual paper presentation - see detailed instructions. Remote presenters might want to prepare the optional longer video mentioned above as an offline alternative presentation targeted mainly to those who are not able to attend the virtual session. This video is NOT meant to be played during the session. We strongly recommend those presenters planning to use supporting material during the virtual sessions (e.g. poster, slides, ...) to upload it as the optional PDF file.
Physical presenters will speak in standard oral sessions, having 20 minutes (15 minute presentation, 5-minute discussion) allocated per paper. The presenters will be asked to submit their presentation in the “speaker preparation room” in Brno at least 2 hours before the start of their session (to be precise: of the session, not of your presentation!), in PPT or PDF format. Presenters are kindly asked to be in their allocated room 10 minutes before the start of the session (to be precise: of the session, not of your presentation!). Oral presentations will be streamed on-line and recorded, and remote participants will be able to ask questions using audiovisual connection or text chat. We strongly recommend presenters to upload their slides as the optional PDF file. Since the physical presentation will be recorded and shared, the optional longer video can be used as an extra supplementary material (e.g. demo, extra detailed analysis).
Please note that Special and challenge sessions may have a slightly different or mixed format, detailed instructions will be sent shortly.

You can prepare your video using any recording and editing tool that will produce an output meeting the above specifications. You can use for example a video conferencing tool, or any software allowing for screen-capture, camera and microphone recording. We prefer you to show your face and display your slides as you talk. We recommend the use of Zoom, but the choice is yours. You may wish to edit the video after having recorded it. Here are some links to instructions on recording a meeting on common platforms:
